Data recovery FAQ
What kind of problems are you able to take care of?
We have all the tools and experience to recover everything possible from your drive. These are some typical cases we see from day to day in our lab.
What are the chances of recovering my data?
In most cases, every bit of the data is recoverable. However, in about 5-10% of all cases there's nothing we could do unfortunately.
I was told that my data is unrecoverable. Does that mean that I should forget about it?
That only means that it is unrecoverable for someone who told you that. We suggest you get a second opinion from us just to make sure. We often receive such second-hand drives and sometimes we successfully recover them. There's no harm trying. Don't forget about our No Data - No Charge policy.
Do you charge a diagnostic fee?
No. We do not charge a diagnostic fee. Quote you receive in advance is final and we do not change it during the whole data recovery process. Your only extra expenses are shipping charges if you require the media to be returned.
How is my data returned to me?
It's your choice. The options are: CD, DVD, new HDD(for extra charge), our secure FTP-server(free of charge).
How can I prevent future data loss from happening?
To prevent future data loss, it is crucial that you back up your data regularly to the network or locally. It is also a good idea to purchase and install anti-virus software and download the latest virus updates monthly. Additionally, you can purchase a surge protector. It is designed to protect your computer against an electrical surge, blackouts and lightning strikes.
